UniMe: features, pricing and limitations

UniMe is a web system for private schools, tutoring centres, studios and independent teachers. It combines scheduling with substitutions and rescheduling, students and lesson packages, payments from parents, e-signed contracts and consents, student and parent portals, a messenger inbox and analytics.

It is not a general sales CRM with a calendar bolted on, and not an LMS for delivering lessons. It is built around the objects of an education business: a recurring lesson with exceptions, a group whose roster changes over time, a lesson package with a remaining balance.

This page lists what a school can use today. Notes next to an item: "school turns on" means off by default and enabled in settings; "from plan …" is a plan limit; "Russian schools" means available only to schools whose data is stored in Russia.

Who it is for

  • Language schools, children's centres, studios, exam-prep schools — from a single teacher to multi-branch networks.
  • Independent teachers: a free plan for 20 students and a dedicated one-teacher plan.
  • Roles inside a school: owner, admin, teacher. Students and parents get their own portals.

Features

Scheduling

  • One-off and recurring lessons; edit only this occurrence, this and following, or the whole series.
  • Reschedule or cancel a single occurrence without touching the series; a cancellation records who cancelled (student or school) and a reason from the school's list.
  • Substitute teacher for one lesson and teacher change are separate actions, both supported.
  • Individual and group lessons, trial lessons, in-person, online and hybrid.
  • Conflict check on save: teacher, room, online room and student. Outside a teacher's working hours or a clash with their lessons at another school shows a warning.
  • Branches, rooms, online rooms, teacher working hours.
  • Group rosters are date-stamped: moving a student to another group does not rewrite past lessons.
  • Group suggestions: who can form a new group, where to add a student, whom to move.
  • Past lessons can be marked as held automatically: immediately, at end of day or after 24 hours (on by default for new schools, 24-hour delay).
  • When a parent writes "please reschedule" or "cancel" in chat, the admin sees a card with the detected request next to the conversation.
  • A teacher working at several schools sees one combined calendar.

Students, lesson packages and charges

  • Student card: profile, schedule, teachers, homework, purchases, history.
  • Lesson packages: number of lessons, price, expiry, subject; individual, mini-group or group.
  • Charging when a lesson is held, in order: package first, then account balance, then debt.
  • Preview: before marking a lesson, you see who will be charged and how much.
  • Charging follows attendance marks: "present" and "absent" are charged, "excused" and "trial" are not. A student can be free for one lesson or always.
  • Cancelling a lesson or un-marking it as held reverses the charge.
  • Void a package with a refund or credit to balance; move remaining lessons into a new package.
  • Expired packages close automatically.
  • Student pause.

Payments from parents

  • The school connects its own acquiring (T-Bank or YooKassa); money goes straight to the school.
  • Invoice for a package or balance top-up from the student card; the payment link is sent to the parent in a messenger.
  • The payment page opens without sign-up; with T-Bank it shows an SBP QR code.
  • Payment is confirmed automatically from the bank's notification and the amount is re-checked with the bank; the package is created or the balance topped up, and the parent gets a confirmation.
  • Fiscal receipts (Russian 54-FZ) through acquiring (school turns on).
  • Low-balance reminder to the parent with a link to buy the same package again (school turns on).
  • Self-service payment from the student or parent portal (school turns on).
  • Acquiring is available to schools operating in roubles.

E-documents with parents

  • Consent to personal data processing as a separate document, as required in Russia since 1 September 2025.
  • Simple e-signature agreement, education services contract with annex and amendment, marketing consent.
  • The order is enforced: a contract cannot be sent for signing without a valid data-processing consent.
  • Parents sign via a link without sign-up or in their portal. Consents are accepted with a checkbox; the contract is signed with an SMS code.
  • Template editor with student data and school details, version history.
  • Signing record as PDF, paper document with a scan, consent withdrawal.
  • Available on every plan including Free, limited by document packets per month (see pricing). Russian schools.

Student and parent portals

  • Student portal: schedule, homework, materials, remaining lessons, invoices and payment.
  • Parent portal: passwordless link sign-in, switch between children, schedule, homework, payments, document signing.
  • Only the person marked as payer can pay from the portal.
  • From the Solo plan.

Homework

  • Assignments for a lesson, student or group, with files; statuses assigned, submitted, reviewed, returned.
  • Sent to the student in a messenger with a link that opens without sign-in; shows that the assignment was opened.
  • Delivered and read status where the messenger reports it (Telegram, WhatsApp, Instagram).
  • Send window 09:00–21:00 by default: assignments issued at night go out in the morning; configurable.

Messenger inbox

  • One inbox for Telegram, WhatsApp, Instagram, VK and MAX; conversations are linked to the contact and student card.
  • Telegram connects a full personal account with existing chats and folders, not a bot.
  • WhatsApp through the official Cloud API; Russian schools can also connect by QR code.
  • MAX as a bot or a personal account by QR (Russian schools). VK community messages.
  • Messenger connections are included in the plan, no third-party gateway needed. Connections: Free 1, Solo and Start 2, Pro and Network unlimited.
  • A connection belongs to the school, not to an employee: history stays when staff change.
  • Voice message transcription, quote replies, reactions, editing.
  • AI reply draft for incoming messages (from Solo).

Leads and clients

  • Lead board, contact card, tags, activity history.
  • Lead profile: stage, next step with a deadline, custom fields.
  • Duplicate search and contact merge.
  • Lead capture from Tilda websites (from Pro).
  • Import from AlfaCRM with a dry run.
  • Editing the lead board and leads from the Start plan.

Teachers

  • Teacher portal: this week's lessons, lessons not yet closed, homework not yet submitted, earnings for the month.
  • Teachers mark attendance, write lesson notes and assign homework. Time, roster and cancellation are changed by an admin.
  • Student and parent contact details are hidden from teachers — a personal-data safeguard that cannot be turned off.
  • Pay rates per subject: fixed per lesson or per student in the group; calculated from held lessons with an explanation. UniMe calculates and logs payouts but does not transfer money.

Analytics

  • Finance for the owner: receipts, revenue recognised from held lessons, debts, average ticket, margin, forecast.
  • Teacher analytics: load, lessons held, cancellations, student retention.
  • Cancellations by side and reason, room utilisation.
  • Retention: risk signals per student and a list of students due to come back after a pause.
  • Configurable dashboard: trials without follow-up, unclosed lessons, missing homework, birthdays.
  • Curricula: topics and skills with per-student progress.

AI

  • Contact summary based on the conversation.
  • Reply drafts in chats, lead hints.
  • Auto-reply and trial-lesson booking inside the chat: offers real free slots and books them (school turns on; Pro and Network).
  • School knowledge base for auto-reply: Notion import and manual entries (from Pro).
  • AI features from the Solo plan.

Access and data

  • Runs in the browser on desktop and phone; mobile layout with a bottom tab bar.
  • Telegram Mini App for staff: what needs attention, chats, schedule, earnings; notifications via a bot.
  • Interface and built-in manual in Russian and English.
  • Two regional cells: Russian schools' data is stored in Russia (152-FZ), others in the EU. Sign-in routes you automatically.
  • Several schools under one account.
  • Demo data to try the system, removed with one click.

Pricing

Monthly prices. After sign-up the Pro plan is free for 14 days, then the school picks a plan; the Free plan does not expire.

How it differs from the market

Checked against the websites of ten Russian school CRMs on 8 September 2026; competitor prices change.

  • Messengers. None of the ten systems connects WhatsApp and Telegram without a paid third-party service: Paraplan uses Teletype, AlfaCRM and UmaiCRM use Wazzup (from 1,000 ₽ per channel per month). In UniMe connections are included in the plan.
  • Document signing. Three of ten have it: HOLLIHOP via the external service Podpislon, UmaiCRM on its 18,000 ₽/month plan, UniMe on every plan including Free.
  • Pricing model. Others charge per active student (HOLLIHOP, Big Ben, UmaiCRM, Tallanto), per group (Moy Klass), per client and branch (Paraplan) or flat with no limits (ListOk). UniMe counts students and teachers.
  • Where others are better value: Paraplan has a lower entry price (990 ₽ vs 1,490 ₽ for the school plan); ListOk limits neither clients nor users; Moy Klass, priced per group, is cheaper for a school of 250+ students in large groups if messengers are not needed; HOLLIHOP has more deployments and mobile apps.

What it does not do

  • You cannot start a new conversation from UniMe. You can write in every existing chat of the connected account (Telegram and MAX import full history). In WhatsApp, outside 24 hours after the client's last message only template notifications go out — homework, documents, invoice. Not suitable for cold outreach.
  • No accounting or cash register module: receipts are issued through acquiring, tax accounting stays outside UniMe.
  • No package freeze — there is a student pause.
  • Students do not mark homework as submitted themselves; the teacher sets the status.
  • Automatic reminders are sent before trial lessons; there are no automatic messages to students before regular lessons or when a lesson is moved.
  • No assigning a chat to a specific employee, no canned replies.
  • No public API; website leads are accepted only from Tilda.
  • Teachers do not message parents from the system; if a school needs that, UniMe is not a fit.
  • No apps in the App Store or Google Play — a mobile web version and a Telegram Mini App instead.
  • In-app video lessons are not available to all schools.
  • E-documents and MAX are for Russian schools only; acquiring is for schools operating in roubles.
